1. CD Replication (often called 'pressing' or 'molding') is the original and traditional method of manufacturing CDs. Because the materials involved require considerable setup time, this method is ideal for larger runs i.e. exceeding 500 units.

2. CD-R Duplication (often called "duping" or "burning") is the digital method of creating CDs. This method is well suited for short runs and jobs can be turned around quickly.
